Christmas Edition::

23 Dec

It has been a very busy Fall, and being entirely busy with conferences and The Fundraiser, I decided to whip up a quick batch of Christmas cards.

Incidentally, I love hearing responses from people when they receive their card; they all say they take it home, put it somewhere special, and look at it frequently… BIG warm & fuzzies!

Merry Christmas to you & yours! Happy 2011!

Constantly inspired by various patterns and textures of paper, I somehow fell into a mountain of discarded but salvaged card. I cut a deal with the store and was able to stay well-within my budget of ‘as close to nil’ as possible. Have a peek at the newest batch!

Next: I’ve been working on quite a few wedding cards of late, ’tis the season!

eco-cards :: round I

A creative hobby has quickly morphed into an exciting & profitable venture!  I’ve been making cards for the past 10 years – initially as a way to recycle architecture materials, but over the years evolved to reusing paper, transforming objects & re-purposing jewelry for my projects.  Since improving and expanding the collection, I’ve stopped giving them away and have made them available for purchase. The response has been both positive & inspiring. Who knew that old scraps could be in demand? Here are some samples from my collection.

Metallic Reds

Canary - Salvaged paper scraps & vellum.

Muted & Dark - Monochromatic.

Mini-cards - Dismantled & reconstituted costume jewels & salvaged paper.

Ultra Recycled Cards - Deconstructed costume jewels & random paper.

Traipsing to the Orient - Salvaged Asian-inspired card stock.
